Dance Company of Notre Dame

Dance Company of Notre Dame

About

The purpose of Notre Dame Dance Company will be to provide students who enjoy dance to have the opportunity to practice and perform their preferred genre of dance, including jazz, contemporary, ballet, hip-hop, tap, and lyrical. The club will fulfill this purpose by: A. Coordinating regular meetings, which will consist of technical practice and discussion of relevant issues relating to impending events. Meetings before upcoming performance will mainly focus on rehearsal of the dances. B. Meeting with the advisor regularly for critiques on our performance pieces as well as discussing issues regarding finance and planning. C. Planning performances for the academic year at Notre Dame for the students and at other locations for community service. Two annual performances will be held on campus: a fall and spring show. The Dance Company of Notre Dame is a student-run club that performs once per semester. The styles of dancing that are practiced and performed include contemporary, ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, lyrical, tap, and hip-hop. For more information, please contact us at danceco@nd.edu.
